I think Bud was very brave. Bud wasn't afraid to talk to Miss. Thomas and Mr. Jimmy about his mother's death and he wasn't afraid of Herman E. Calloway. He can be mischievous at times but overall he is well-mannered and nice.
I think Herman E. Calloway was sad and surprised. He was sad that Anjela Janet ran away, but also finding out that she was dead. He was surprised by finding out that he is Bud's grandfather. I still don't think he was being kind to Bud.
I think Miss.Thomas was very kind and caring for Bud.Bud also thinks Miss.Thomas has nice singing. Miss.Thomas cooperates with every member of the band and is nice to them. Overall she is a very nice person.
